Australian Politics -- hold my slabs

Is this a free gift to the privatised Telstra, or are the “Government” receiving an extra shareholding in payment for the 2 billion of public money ?

Why don’t they just re-nationalise Telstra, to protect the public investment ?

Silly question ?

Are you watching Penny at Senate Estimates?
Don’t think she believes that public servant Stephanie Foster - the one who fixed the sexual harassment issues at PH - who categorically denied that she winked at Senator Birmingham.
Foster has form when working with John Lloyd as Deputy Public Service Commissioner.

WTF is this?

The Public Service Act is unequivocal.
Where is he?

Maybe the PM did the blocking?
There are precedents for Ministers refusing to permit their public servants to appear.
Also, the Minister sitting with the public servants at Committees can block them from responding.
At a NSW Parliamentary Committee, Hazzard would not allow Chant to answer certain Qs because she was under oath and they were both appearing on a voluntary basis.

Look like that idiot Pitt won the raffle

The electorate doesn’t care about corruption amazingly.
If it did, the LNP wouldn’t be the slightest chance of being re-elected.
They are so filthy in grift and graft, it oozes from their pores.

Pretty clear that, apart from agreeing to 2050 “in principle”, the LNP will actually do nothing to actually make those targets. “But we tried”!

Anything that happens will be done by 3-card monte tricks. For every new coal mine, or private dam, or fracking job, that’s approved, they’ll claim they planted a tree in the desert or let a koala live.

Looking forward to reading on Facebook that koala assassination is obviously an integral part of any emission restricting policy and its nitpicky and idealist to suggest otherwise.

Trying to get my head around the Barilaro comment that, if Gladys had declared her relationship with Daryl at the time, it would have been difficult to maintain the close friendship between her and Barilaro.
Baird said also that Gladys had been one of his closest friends.
Maybe if she had disclosed the relationship she would not have gotten to be Premier.
Ii is not uncommon in the commercial sector for a CEO to have an obligation to disclose relationships with staff to the Board of Directors.
Quaedvlieg was sacked from Borderforce for
covering up a relationship with a staff member.

To be fair, koalas actually do remove oxygen and create carbon dioxide. Selfish bastards.

Champerty. Love it !

So that’s it, it’s just an eye closing? Surely Penny took it further?

@bigallan knows the processes better than me but I suspect the DepSec may be recalled quite soon.
