I just read something that on the surface seemed a bit odd but I’m sure there is quite a simple explanation for it. Can anyone shed light on this?

But the details are still showing on the ausbiz.net website. I just don’t know the veracity of that.

That makes sense to me internationally as in what you just linked about Australia trading with the US but why the need for some random company called P.ecker Maroo to own all the various arms of NSW government, health departments, land titles, the Labor Party, the Liberal Party etc?
They don’t own all these things.
They are claiming they do, because of bullshit sovereign citizen quasi-legal dribble, as part of some deluded fantasy that this gets them out of obligations like tax, laws they don’t like etc.

I got a quote from a local builder who is deep into this stuff, requests a 50% deposit before start of work, is all about avoiding taxes, liabilities etc. It’s as dodge as it gets, has real US libertarian overtones, and unsurprisingly the quote was also adorned with several quotes from famous figures shoe horned into a supportive appearance.
