Barnaby Joyce a dinosaur running our country

A former Deputy PM with a big coal tail has pulled out of his appointment as Chancellor of Newcastle University in the face of protests.
Different scenario for Joyce, but maybe there is scope to dock his tail``

Littleprick (yes, that’s what his name really means) is Barnaby’s Number Two, and is supposed to have organised the putsch. That said, and keeping @bigallan’s reference to “scope to dock [Barnaby’s] tail” in mind, here’s an interesting political cartoon by David Rowe :

“Having a red with old mate barnaby”

Has there ever been a more slimier backstabbing weasel of a politician than David Littleproud?

Nobody wants to damage Morrison at that price. Morrison is plenty capable of damaging himself. And Joyce is not in any way of deserving of being deputy PM of this country

This is a gift for Labor. They must be pinching themselves

This blithering fool who has said all sorts of batshit crazy stuff on climate when he thought he’d never get back in. And all that has happened in parliament house with regard to respect for women, sexual assaults and many other things that have been revealed about the going on inside the parliament building since he left . This is probably the stupidest decision with such unbelievably bad timing in political history. It really shows how utterly out of touch with reality they are.

Scomo, is now stuck between mounting pressure from US, European and UK pressure to deliver carbon emission targets, and Joyces strong pro mining agenda. He might as well get used to being on the sidelines of the G7, or being snubbed. Most likely he will lose office when the next election is fought on climate change while their shiny majority is as thin as one ply toilet paper and the trendy seats in the middle of comfortable suburbia flip to labor.

Something about McCormack knowing he did not have the numbers in the spill, but stood anyway to stop Littleproud standing, sweet revenge after McC had handed L the plum job of Ag Minister.

At the end of the day this bloke gets his unbelievably good pension and all other asscoiated retirement goodies, why would he care? He seemed almost happy yesterday, no wonder

He also comes from a farming family and has farmed himself - how many are there now in the upper echelons of the Nats? How many seats depend on the farm vote…

I bet he farmed “root” vegetables

Beetroot, judging by his complexion.

Barnaby sworn in ( could also be swearing under breath). He takes regional transport etc, waiting details on other Nat Ministerial allocations - imagine Chester not on the list - but frees him to speak more candidly as a backbencher.

Surely Joyce “coming from a farming family” means FK all to people in regional Australia when all he’s ever done to them is crp on them from a great height?

I was referring to McCormack. Joyce was an accountant.
