BBFFL#2 2016 Discussion

will play Holmes to complement Hickey.
Sounds like a tactic first devised on a 70s ■■■■ set.

■■■■ you Melk he was my smoky for Pick 185.

Sent WOB a text given it’s still a reasonably hour in WA.

He will be back at the VIC

Mitchell will do, im off for a well deserved sleep

Thanks RB. Didnt realise that rule. I couldnt get him onfield due to UF being down before Blues game.

Yeah it's weird. It hasn't counted Boekhurst's score as an emergency for me.
Whoops I didn't pick that one up. It hasn't automatically counted Boekhurst's score because UF have a blanket rule that emergencies only replace non scoring players - not gaps in teams.

His score will be added to your final score.

Yeah it’s weird. It hasn’t counted Boekhurst’s score as an emergency for me.

Changes to Round 1 Teams

Birch 19 - Ben McEvoy R and Sam Butler B removed from emergencies as all Rucks and Backs played
Come Back Hirdy - James Harmes F, Nick Suban C and Lachlan Weller removed from emergencies as all Forwards and Centres played
TrevorBix - all playing emergencies removed as none B eligible to replace Travis Varcoe
Pazza - Josh Schache moved to Emergency 2 to replace Robin Nahas
The Melkman - Sam Frost RF removed from emergencies as ineligible to replace Jack Sinclair C

Apologies - last 3 games are still to be checked. Also UF has changed things and it doesn’t look like I can adjust players so I will have to just amend scores.

There are no other changes from the last three matches.

Please note that the Ruck Relief rule has applied for No. 5 - with Tom Boyd moving into the Ruck in effect. It has also been applied for Westozziebomber with Drew Petrie moving into the ruck.

Later tonight I will post all the final adjustments to the scores on here. Apologies for the lack of clarity - UF has let us down for Round 1.

Texted Stoops. He won his cricket semi yesterday so he might be a bit slow of the mark this morning.

Stoops has picked. Silly Billy texted.

Done. Tried to text Cafegerat but it failed :s

SB has one pick then i have 5 in a row. Geez

SB has one pick then i have 5 in a row. Geez

This could be all over today

I have 1 left… westozziebomber up

@westozziebomber has taken his last picks - but he just needs to correct one as Dean Core has already gone. Once he has fixed that up we can draft the LTI replacements.

Well done to everyone on smashing through the draft. We have knocked it over in a little over a week which I think is sensational. Thanks to everyone for the texting and taking/leaving contingencies to ensure we kept things moving.

All done

Done my LTI pick.

Nar Nar Goons inaugral review
When I took over the list, I was slightly shocked at the amount of turnover that was made from my original year having the club. I needed to overhaul the list and did so by adding more grunt in the forward line and midfield. Enter Stevens, Cunnington and Horlin-Smith. I also needed to address the forward line and backline, however the forward line was the easiest to address and this was done with the likes of Brown (who I rated highly) and Bennell. He cost me Matt Crouch, but 90 plus young forwards who can run in the mid don’t grow on trees.

Pick 18 K.Collins
Trading Pick 1 was a gamble, but one I was prepared to make knowing this kid would still be here at 18. At 100kg and only 18, the bloke known as Daddy Collins due to his old man appearance is someone I will build my future backline around.

Pick 58 Marcus Adams
Plays both forward and back. Ready made AFL player and one I thought wouldn’t be there much longer.

Pick 135 Jono O’Rourke
Former number 2 pick is on the fringe at Hawthorn but should see more game time given the form he has put in. I was surprised he was still there and would help my young midfield in years to come.

Pick 152 Ben Newton
Took best available here that I thought would play.

Pick 156 Jack Redpath
Jack Redpath is a man mountain and will push hard to get game time.

Pick 164 Bailey Rice
Took a gamble on the kid. Hopefully a jet like his old man

Pick 165 Josh Cowan
Injury prone, but when fit is a bench player at the cats. Hopefully he is over the injuries and can cement a spot.

Other players taken…Cant be bothered writing up lol
All the other players are my roughies. Rose has been more than serviceable in the reserves and should see more game time at Sydney. Stretch is an interesting one. Jake Kelly is a raging bull and will get more time at Adelaide. Snelling is my smokie for an upgrade at Port Adelaide.

Has Cafegerat been texted?
Just texted him a few minutes ago.
