Ben Rutten - Back to the grindstone (Part 1)

I liked your post but I’m assuming you are deducting pocket money until he barracks for the bombers.

He’s a Bomber, he just doesn’t engage in it. Baby steps and he’ll catch on. Having footy shows on in the background helps with the subliminal messaging.

What would make him not boring :joy:

Coach and his coaching team have been special this year.

Well done.

LOL the greek god truck

This and this. Is absolutely what you want in a younger coach… he is hungry and completely focussed on EFC and winning.

No wonder the players love it… no more farkin’ sandwich eating, FIFO coaching or rotating door at the top. Just a guy that wants it as bad as they do and can demand excellence with a straight face.

I don’t know whether he will get us to #17… it takes a lot of everything to win one… but I have no doubt we are going to be at the pointy end of things soon. Absolutely no doubt we are building a team, culture, game plan and mentality to dominate.

And when that doesn’t work

He is like Craig Bellamy.

Not a great orator, but a fantastic coach.

I can live with that.

That little kid on the fence is pretty funny I can’t work out if he is a Bomber or Hawks supporter but reading his lips it looks like he is calling Jake an

developed a plan, the players tried to follow it, lack of composure and some let downs from senior players resulted in not livin up to the plan

He looked pretty dejected in the box after the game. Nice to see it hurts him aswell

That’s top of the ladder we played and we mixed it with them all night. The gamestyle, especially defensively, looked solid. Growing more and more confident in what he’s building with this group of players…

Have to admit I had grave doubts early but clearly he has gelled the team and we have progressed so far this year … regardless of how many wins we have this year. We are an EXCITING team and look out in the next 2 years. Hats off to Truck.

Surprise. He didn’t

He did say something, but treaded very carefully. You wouldn’t expect anything more than that.

IT is completely correct. I watched the presser and thought he did really well, but he couldn’t say very much at all.

And nor should he. What sort of absolute dumbfark could seriously believe that our senior coach “making a stand” about the umpiring would result in us getting a better run with the umpires?

The reality is that if it happened, we would get a significant worse run as a result, likely for years.

And yes I know what some will say - “well it couldn’t get any worse”. Yes it can and yes it would.
