Maybe it actually is Seal, he’s been a coach on The Voice. He’d be a long way from home literally, and figuratively, in the AFL.

Let’s face it, no one knows who is getting him but I can’t see him coming to the club after the circus of this week. I hope I’m wrong but I will be astonished if he decides to walk into that joint. It’s an absolute embarrassment

This isn’t the reason he won’t coach us… but the media are heating up their campaign now to see him not come to us.
They have done an absolute turnaround since Monday.

It might actually work in our favour. He gets to coach a big club but also has the carrot of a legacy of turning around a club that no one else could. It’s a significant challenge but you get facilities, finance, supporters and a young developing list.

I agree with your second sentence but there has been a massive shift in the last 24 hours.
North fairytales, past Hawk players having their say, “poor” Rutten, club not handling the situation properly… etc etc etc
All these media outlets know as much about it as we do but they (unfortunately) have some influence. Limited but it’s there.

I almost don’t care anymore. The brand, if it wasn’t already damaged enough, is seriously damaged now no matter which direction this goes. During the chaos of and circus of this week, the the players have got away Scott free

What has the club actually done wrong at the moment tho that’s actual facts. They’ve changed presidents and put out a statement. Everything else the media has just made up and everyone has accepted as gospel.

It’s a very hard situation to get a read on, there are so many perspectives and alternative outcomes. What I think will happen is just as likely to be completely wrong.
I wonder if ‘getting Clarkson’ is being used as a way to get rid of Rutten, to only then be replaced by a different coach altogether who may not be as warmly received if it was known he was the reason they are getting rid of Rutten in the first place

Anyone else other than Clarko is going to feel like a disappointment. Especially if he goes to North.
The more I think about it the more I think that Clarko is THE guy who this club needs at this exact juncture in it’s history to steer it back on course.
