Best Album Covers

This one deserves a mention.  The cover itself is nothing special (although striking in it's simplicity) but the album packaging is just great, particularly the vinyl version.

It's based on an mid century medical/religious book. Friend of mine has a copy of the actual book. Is a frightening read on many levels. Not a Pearl Jam fan as such, but remember really liking that album a lot.

Would love to read it.  The excerpts that were included with the album were 'interesting'....

I have a 1930 copy of Vitalogy and it came with the supplement below which is even more "interesting" than the book!

Really enjoying this thread . I am a big Roger Dean and Storm Thorgerson fan.

I have always liked this 1974 cover with the Melbourne skyline in it. Great album too.

I liked the original cover from Stand Up, which folded out, and was based on a wood cut of the band.

Sister is law has a copy of the original Vitalogy book.

I’ve got that book. Is it worth anything?

Spent waaay too much time at the Corner in the 80s

You’d think something - but perhaps not enough to go through the rigmarole.

The first edition would probably be worth a few hundred. But not really sure.

Such a shame the album itself is complete and utter dreck… “Are we human or are we dancer”… SERIOUSLY? FARK OFF BRANDON

It is a good album cover, though.
Would look awesome on vinyl.

btw, I’ve long coveted a big rug that’s a montage of full size vinyl album covers of my choosing.
Does anyone know of a place that would provide such a service?
