and back when she covered different drum she was hot

speaking of hot female singers, she's not a rock vocalist but Sarah Brightman was a goddess

Already been mentioned by some, but Linda Ronstadt had a flawless voice.

There is some great old footage of her on 'The History of the Eagles' DVD.

When Glenn Frey and Don Henley were just starting out backing her up on the road.

Hard to beat Ann Wilson as a pure Rock vocalist......

Surprised at the lack of love here for Suzi Quatro. After Janis, she was the best female rock singer. She had more hits than Janis, And she was sexier with it.

yep - she was hot alright.

tidbit... Steve Martin dated her a few times and didn't try getting her into bed because he was intimidated by her. From his book Born Standing Up:

“One week I opened the show for Linda Ronstadt; she sang barefoot on a raised stage and wore a silver lamé dress that stopped a millimetre below her panties, causing the floor of the Troubadour to be slick with drool. Linda and I saw each other for a while, but I was so intimidated by her talent and her street smarts that, after the ninth date, she finally said, “Steve, do you often date girls and not try to sleep with them?” We parted chaste.”
