I’m glad you put Un Secret in there. I saw it a few years ago and thought it was really great, and a very different perspective of being Jewish in France during the Occupation.

For more foreign films, we can’t miss a couple of Tati classics like Jour de Fête and M Hulot’s Holiday…virtually silent comedies.

Plus
The Women of the 6th Floor
The Skin I Live In
Julieta
All About My Mother

Not all of them would be in my best 50 films, but enjoyable nonetheless.

lot of films I really like in your collection Zimmer. nice collection.

Creed 2 and a quite place would go very close to making my list now

Wow nice list, lots of different choices and genres in there. Observe and report was pretty entertaining. Was a lot different than what I expected it to be

I have just come across your list of your best films of all time. I largely agree with you but with a few exceptions.
My no.1 would be Marcel Carne’s Les Enfants Du Paradis. For war films I would replace Spielberg’s Saving Private Ryan with his Shindlers List. And to my mind I must have Kubrick’s Paths of Glory which I think is the best war film ever
I would also include a couple of Powell/ Pressburger collaborations, I Know where I am Going and the Red Shoes.
You dont have any Polanski movies. I loved his Knife in the Water.
I would replace Mrs Miniver with Ozu’s Tokyo Story. Whilst I liked Mrs Miniver I would not rate it in the best movies of all time.

Not just any old Polanski movie, Knife was his directing debut, and a very decent effort as well.
