Biscuit Banter

And on the genie ads, every single one of my female friends all of a sudden had an interest in 110m hurdling and hip-hop…

Toast with Biscoff spread just had.

Totally worth it

I just don’t like how they take up half the biscuit aisle

So many unnecessary flavours I assume to “boost” profit

Iconic ad of the 90s. I was wondering in my previous post if this advertising campaign at the time had an impact in their popularity then and now.

Also remember (slightly off topic) from this time the Moccona coffee ads. The “exotic” man in the supermarket. “Really? Shropshire? How wonderful”

Tim Tams are most definitely overrated.

Iced Vovos made my underrated list.

Reckon a good biscuit you can easily pound 3 or 4 without discipline

The white hearts were one of my fave bickies :grimacing:

And with less is each packet

It’s better out of the jar. The toast is a waste.

And please tell me you went crunchy, and not smooth.?!

There’s a crunchy?

Oh man I’m in for a treat next time I shop

Oh, you’re in for a treat. Def get the crunchy. It’s got little bits, which I guess are bits of biscuit in it.

It’s like tasting some new sensation for the first time.

I guess like giving someone Nutella for the first time in their life

Can’t wait for crunchy

Best: Kookas Country Cookie (Choc Rasp)
Worst: Most Arnotts Biscuits from their mixed packet i.e teddy bear, orange cream etc…
Underrated: Chocolate Royal
Overrated: def Tim Tam.

Also going to give an hon mention to Coles for some of the Choc chip cookie range they do now.

A long time ago I saw a full page ad for Tim-tams.
If was just the pack, with a white background, and at the bottom -
‘Use By Dates: Why Do They Bother?’

Best:

Underrated: Venetian (perhaps not underrated, but worthy of a mention)
Overrated: Barbeque Shapes
Worst: Yet to find.

A school camp staple, rarely, if ever, had them anywhere else!

I am yet to find anyone that can explain to me what “barbecue flavour” actually is… The taste of cast iron and years of stuck on meat juice?? Pizza flavour, yes. Cheers n Bacon, Chicken, Nacho, yes. Barbecue…dafuq even is that??

Not sure if they still do it but there was a mint slice style but it was coffee instead of mint. It was the best of all time.

I’m astonished at the amount of people who dislike bbq shapes. :face_with_spiral_eyes:
