Some of the (pro Geelong ) decisions I’ve seen today in the Cats v GWS match defy any logic other than being unfit to umpire at any level.
To see the logic in the maggots’ decisions, you need to view them through the prism of what outcome the AwFL wants.
And that is why they will continue to umpire at the highest level.
A mark, and goal from a knee that went 8m.
Here for the lols.
There was one decision yesterday where Stringer grabbed a Cats player in possession of a kick under 15m. The humps had yelled clearly it wasn’t 15 and Jake’s tackle met all the pre-conditions known since 1872 to justify a holding the ball free. Nope. Seems if you don’t hear an umpire’s call and are caught holding the ball you’re entitled to what’s known as the ‘Aw, poor guy’ rule and the hump will instead call for the ball and bounce it instead. How Jake didn’t go ballistic I’ll never know.
Just one of many Gray areas in AFL football
Sack them all.
As if we weren’t being punished enough, enter umpires.
It’s debatable whether they’re the best team out there, but they have scored the most.
In fairness, it’s such a long standing habit that the Maggots resort to “muscle memory”.
They just can’t resist giving us an extra whack whenever they can.
Probably posted in the wrong spot tbf
■■■■■■■ disgraceful
Could send 6-7 please explain frees tonight that simply baffling
Either they got it paid and it wasn’t the other way
Not sure why they were allowed to constantly walk to their left or right while our guys are forced to stand on rhe mark. Absolutely took the ■■■■ out of the rule and the umps did nothing
We copped a few tonight
How many other players have played for Richmond, Port, Melbourne and Collingwood?
Agree.
Last against the wall, for mine.
In my opinion, apart from the Geelong game a few years back, that had to be one of the worst umpiring performances I have seen in nearly 60 years of following football.
Some unbelievable decisions and non-decisions.
