McKay come from 2m behind to man the mark, which was a 50m penalty. Later in the game the umpire tells one player to stay outside 5, then another player runs from 15m away to stand OVER the mark.

The Tsatas one in the centre square where the Carlton player was allowed to come in from behind him long before play on was called was another outrageous breach. Also one deep in defence when Prior had the footy and Carlton came from 15 meters away to man the mark about 5 seconds before play on was called.

And neither do the players, or the coaches, or for that matter, the umpires.
PS. How’s the free kick where a Carlton player was held? (very soft both players grappling) like 10m from the contest, paid by an umpire not in control, and meanwhile where the ball and contest actually is, Tsatas gets his head ripped off. It happened basically silmutaneously. All the players actually ran the wrong way. One infringement has zero bearing on the play, the other is the play. It’s just ■■■■■■■ stupid.

I’m fairly positive that she is a huge Essendon supporter. She is awful for all games, but you wonder if that is why she umps against us so hard as to not show bias.
I will say, with regards to the 2 female umps, I have found them both to be really poor.
But I have found umpiring in general to be poor. And I don’t have a clue who any of the other farkers are.
So unfortunately for them, how easy they are to distinguish from the others makes their decisions stand out a lot more… I see a horrible call, then see one of the 2 girls made it, I attribute that horrible call to them. Any other time I see a horrible call, it is just a nameless bloke who I have nfi who they are.
So I can’t say they are worse than the others.

Easy solution - if you take 30 and don’t make the distance - free kick against where the ball lands. That’ll keep the game moving. And remove all doubt about genuine attempt.

Even easier just make it that you don’t get 30 seconds when the person manning the mark is outside 50.

Of the many things that ■■■■ me about umpiring right now I have to say to have the non-adjudicating umpire come flying in from wherever to call a free kick when the ajudicating one is right there ■■■■■ me the most. Easy to legislate…sorry farker; stay in your lane; the yellow maggot who is 2 metres away has got this.
