Blatant cheating by umpires - “having a ‘mare tonight” (Part 1)

Who says umpires don’t hold grudges…

Ohhhh they hold grudges.

A 250+ Multiple Grand Final Umpire I know was trying to give 3 votes to some flog in the 90s, clearly best on ground - anyway point is the decision has to be unanimous and one wanker - again apologies name escapes me - wouldn’t give 3 votes because he reacted and swore at him after something, or a call - most likely an unfair free against - against said player.

So yeah, it’s common knowledge they hold grudges.

Ask Mollisons mate - he’ll agree or his lying

Diesel - 44 Touches - No Votes

James Hird - 34 disposals (most on ground) & 3 goals = 0 votes. That is proof positive of corruption.

At least the umps could say Diesel didn’t meet the “fairest” component as I believe he was reported in that game but the Hird one was pure spite after he criticised McLaren

*Unless those players are Sydney v EFC eg the example when Heppel was tackled immediately, with the maggot encouraging the tackler.

That’s the clearest example of maggots’ cheating and corruption. It can’t be excused as “incompetence” or “rub of the green” or any other excuse that the maggots’ Vichy apologists come out with.

That is blatant undeniable cheating.
I hope they do appeal it. And I hope the umpire never umpires again.

It’s the Grand Final… Essendon are playing… Mollison is one of the umpires… you are the coach of the EFC… what do you do?

You leave him out on that field you are going to lose.

This thread should be named after @Albert_Thurgood.

Is this a trick question?

You’ve obviously never seen umpires pssed at a pub in Stawell at Easter ready to fight each other and the umpires selector because of decisions made the previous September

Brendan Goss is an Essendon supporter too! Typical.

If Mollison is AFL quality, this guy may as well set his sights on being a cheat at the highest level.

Has frequented this forum in his past too. Mad for the Bombers.

Has already achieved that

To be fair, when I was living down that way, everyone in the pub at Stawell wanted to fight. Not just the umps.

Well, yeah…
They had to live in Stawell, so…

Fair point

I think I saw somewhere that he has never umpired a final. It only stands to reason that his first final will be when we eventually play in one.

Hahah. These were AFL umps following the great distance running tradition of drinking one night a year, Easter Monday at Stawell. Fair to say they didn’t handle their alcohol particularly well. (Like the vast majority of people in the pub).
