All good. I just didn’t pick it up at the time. Seeing the replay you can see he did it. Just frustrating it had been going on most of the day then they pluck one in the last 20 seconds.

The centre bounces were absolutely shocking from the umps today. I can’t believe that at least a dozen weren’t recalled.

I bet that the ones that were not recalled were those that went to PA’s advantage.
I can not really remember to whose advantage they went. Just that the bounces appeared to be a problem most of the day and they refused to recall some complete shockers.

I think these bounces are a sort of Rohrshack test: the direction where they continually are directed is to the team the maggots consciously or subconsciously “prefer”. If they do NOT call it back as they didn’t last week when it went consistently Geelong’d way) then it is confirmation of bias.
Any maggot apologists who don’t like the above: please don’t comment before doing the analyses of called back vs non-called back misdirected bounces.
I thought the umpires were ordinary all day but the game was pretty contested and they just made the most of it. They just didn’t kick straight and could have won by more. Wasn’t the umpires. We should have played smarter going forward.

Merret dove on it. Then stood up, and didn’t get rid of it. That’s a technical one for ‘diving on it’
But not long afterwards, a port player dove on it, then rolled onto his back, which is some kind of antidote to giving away a free.
