Blitz Watch Along - Week 3 1965 GF 8pm tonight

Be honest, how many times have you seen the 1965 premiership?

mid 80s footy is as far back as I can get interested to watch, and even that’s a stretch. I probably have zero interest of watching any games from the 60’s, ever. everyone’s different of course.

One vote behind. Good tight vote

I’ve just changed it to 1984 (which now takes the lead) just to spite you :grin:

Will timing god @Davo be joining us?

And if we are going back to the 60s tonight we need our older blitzers to give us survival tips.

@Captain_Jack ?

Take a cushion. The old wooden slat seats at the MCG are a bit hard.
No big screen for replays. so take binocs if your eyesight is ordinary.
And the red rattlers from Richmond aren’t great if you don’t get a seat.
And cash only for train ticket - cards not invented yet.
Don’t miss the half time entertainment - mixed service marching band doing clever marching routines (ball through goalposts etc) while playing old favourites. Much better than old rock stars with dodgy sound sytems.
If you go early, catch the Pies beat Geelong in the ressies GF (I cheated and looked it up. My memory aint that good)
