That football is miles better to watch than the current game.
The rules were so much better - no crappy touches of the arm in a marking contest, no 50m for getting in the protected zone, no soft holding interpretations. They let them play.
And no friggin keepings off passing it 20m criss crossing all over the place, going backwards hadnât been thought of. No zone defence. No flooding. Players spread over the ground.
Lots of contesting and pumping forward rather than hanging onto possession.
The good old days. The game was fast and furious and exciting to watch.
