So its Fosters Cup GF night out at Waverley.

A pre season GF for us after the disappointment of last seasons prelim final exit to the cats. Our trip to the final saw us defeat the Eagles 41-38, Fitzroy 52-46 and Melbourne 96-49.

The roos trip to the final also saw then defeat the eagles in round one after the Bears decided they CBF’d making the trip 68-66, the cats 140-80 and FC in the semis 98-70.

Thank god there was pre game on that link or i had no way of getting the teams.

That’s a very strong pre season side for us.

I’m not sure if we win, or if @Bomb_Doe has gotten involved.

Does anyone know much about that bears situation?

I’m a bit worried about that Hamilton Crocker match up. I don’t mind Hamilton, bit I’m worried that he has this habit of letting his man do whatever they like, and it might come back to haunt us at some stage.

Fish is going to ruin this Angus Pelican

The Bears were originally privately owned. Their owner till the end of 1989 was Christopher Skase. When he left the country in a hurry, the Bears were broke and this was a large factor in the resulting player strike.

Good summary in the cued section of the video below (nice glasses, Peter Jess).

I think we should target this Martin Leslie guy. No 1 pick a few years back, but has barely played for Brisbane. Should be able to get him cheap.
