Mercuri looks cooked.
Hird has an unusual set goal kicking style. He holds the ball low, about knee level, and he doesn’t have far to drop it before he makes contact. Eliminates variables. It will be interesting to see if he maintains this style over the course of his career.
The intensity of the game certainly picked up in that quarter. Tigers applying more pressure to make p for what they lack in class. Bewick, Mercuri and Hird drifted out of the play and Denham fading a little, maybe du to fatigue. O’Donnell lifted again, and Che has come into the game a bit. Calthorpe still providing plenty of run.
