After the bye they will be

We were a better forward line minus wright

I agree but i believe we have much more improvement in us than them. I am happy to play them in the finals as long as we are close to full strength

Signs have been there for a month but some refused to see it and accept that our list is poor. We simply don’t have the cattle and a soft draw had some at the club get well ahead of themselves.

Oh bull fucken ā– ā– ā– ā– . Heppell has been bog average at absolute best for the last 2 years. All he has to do is put together a couple of good marks and suddenly people come to his defence like anti bodies killing off a virus.

I know most people on here disagree with this, but the happy clapping mediocrity supporting of Heppell is so bloody tiring.

The real issue is, we have nobody to replace him with.

Luckily for us, the game is determined by the team with the most inside 50’s, not the team with the highest score.

Great effort by the boys tonight.

we played well except lowering eyes inside 50 and kicking goals.

blues made us pay more on turnovers.

it did look like blues had another gear like start of last qtr they piled on 3 goals.

also think 3 charity goals early from umpires help remove the threat of a close game and acoreboard pressure through out the match.

Like i said last week beat GC and take the Carlton loss would have been a better result.

We beat WC after the bye and go 2-1 but now we have 2 losses in a row

But they won by 4 goals and we kicked 16 points…

The problem is when there was a chance to give heppel kelly a rest our coach won’t play a kid …

Did the same thing last year

Why not give Robert saad a run

Oh wait we think we can win a final lol

I was the BIGGEST Heppell critic on here the last few years. But I’m not blind and he has been fantastic for us this year and last year after the first 6 or so rounds

I think arguably our biggest need in terms of the list is a key forward

We need a rethink of the forward structure. The talls aren’t working. We should play Langford as our leading forward, a Bryan or Draper in the goal square, then smalls like Jnr, Saad, and Caddy (who can get the ball more than Jones). Wright is badly out of form and needs to be dropped.

Another deeply frustrating game. Our own worst enemy too often. Beating ourselves before our opponents get a chance to. Man, we kick straight in that first quarter, who knows what the game would of looked like from there.

A lot of stats look good, but our overall efficiency across the board, particularly forward. Just looks so bad. Not sure how quickly that can really be tidied up. Some handy players on the sideline, but there’s more to it than that.

We are miles off the top 4-5 sides….we don’t have the class to compete and needs to be very strategic in the off season to add class

I dont disagree with that. I think Carlton are a top 4 team already. We can improve by a goal or 2 a quarter either way (offensive, defensive). I’d currently place us around the 10th spot, can see us improving to maybe 7-8th. Can also see us regressing to 12-13th though.

Don’t hold your breath Nino, second half of season Essendon may just be unleashed!
