Bloos v Dons review

Dont worry, He was playing against Essendon. We are so easy to play against. Ben Long kicked 4 goals last week remember…

They may well have but we kick straighter it puts pressure back on them

I will be hppy if they are both in their side when we play them next.

we won by 6 goals last year …

If Scott doesn’t get some games into our potentials, Caddy, El Hawli, Roberts etc he is making a huge mistake. He is no doubt trying to get into the 8 and win at least one final to the detriment of our potentials and to appease the Essendon crowd…

You can’t list things that we miss and then list those names, they are all average at best

It’s a simple review, we are not good enough, the list and the gameday 23……our bottom 6-7 players are not AFL level….our effort is great but the majority of those 3rd quarter misses were players who couldn’t execute skills.

2nd place before tonight was flattering and honestly we are around 7-10 realistically. We were so overhyped but at least the effort kept coming….we wouldn’t have done that in the past. Some player reviews:

Goldstein: he is honest but De Koning gave him a bath and was the difference in the game

Perkins: to me the most frustrating footballer on our list, looks disinterested at times and I counted 4 times where he was directly responsible for costing us a goal….I would drop him

Kelly: I am sure he’s playing some part in our structure but honestly, if we were a good team he wouldn’t be playing

Wright: any chance of taking a mark!!!

Durham and Caldwell were outstanding

Martin has got to play mid forward

We simply lack class, we have 2 A grade players in Ridley & Merrett with Durham and Martin closing the gap……need a big off season

we were also strong in areas too.

repeat inside 50s won tackles etc, more disposals and disposal efficiency
less turnovers
more intercepts
more hit outs, but smashed in clearances maybe hit them down dekonings throat.

Correct. People who say otherwise have no clue about footy. They where clearly the better team by atleast 6 goals.

With a genuine crumbing forward, he can.
Betts would have loved him.

Can you have

Draper
Goldstein
Jones
Stringer
Langford
Wright

All in the same team

No you can’t
Not ina million years

With all due respect we never looked like winning. Carlton played is.

Ha. When would they ever be fit at the same time?

Yeah we were but they were the better side most of the night and deserved the win. Our bad goal kicking was just one element- that’s the point I guess

Was it just me, or did Martin slip over a lot?

Didnt we take Bontempelli out of the doggies game?

So your saying we played good and still lost by the margin we did. Imagine if we where off… yikes. Blues the better team all night by atleast 2 goals a quarter, except for the 3rd

I disagree that this was an essington performance. I think we toughed it out and were willing to compete in a way essington never is.

Sure we fumbled and wasted opportunities like essington, but essington loses to top 4 teams by a lot more than 26 points.

We’ve dominated the inside 50 count and had more shots against a flag favorite (rightly or wrongly.

We were competitive despite injuries hurting the squad, and a totally ineffectual front half plan and personnel.

Martin just has to go forward now to try and fix our front half game. Get Saad 2.0 in and release Martin forward.

Who was best, Goldstein?

I don’t even think he was poor. I think he’s just anonymous most weeks. I said he started the year well but has now turned anonymous. I dont think thats harsh? I disagree with he’s been excellent each week

Whats his role? I wouldnt even know. Can we improve by someone else doing it?
