I joined in 2001, was too young to understand it beforehand. Everyone in Sunbury either went for Essendon or North Melbourne and because Essendon had a bloke called James, 7 year old me went “HEY THAT’S MY NAME!” and picked the Dons.
I tell ya what, the day (if ever) we win it all, I’ll probably end up being arrested.
