Yaco telling someone they’ve lost touch with reality is the funniest post in this thread.
Don’t assume anything. This is Essendon and its world-class standards we’re talking about.
Would it surprise anyone if Brilliant Brad’s KPI was simply that he turned up?
We really are stuck with a sub standard coach, coaching panel and sub standard senior players. There is no immediate bright future for this club.
What are basing this on?
If that is the case, Brad is trying to get himself sacked. Not trying to lock down the 38 year old, Edwards wing, Tsatas benched first half, the extra bizarre team selection.
So the senior players achieved the consistency KPI…… just the wrong one! ![]()

just about 2 years of salary pay out is pretty good if you want to step away from footy for good and use the pay out to get a share portfolio to retire on. Suddenly Edwards is on a wing and Prior is playing injured
I honestly dont think itll matter come end of year.
We are going to lose too many games by too wide a margin that the boards hand will be forced.
The bloke cant coach, its farking obvious to anyone with half a brain.
I excluded Hinkley,Longmire,Buckley I think we should go for an untried coach
Hayden Skipworth
James Kelly
Corey Enright
Ashley Hansen
Jaymie Graham
Brett Montgomery
Shaun Grigg
Could go for Danny Daly if we want a Chris Fagan type coach
I’m basing it on what someone told me today.
The person I was talking to mentioned the board would be motivated to move if attendance and membership was impacted.
Surely the media talk of excluding us from prime time games, plus the constant poor performance and fan disenchantment would make most Board’s start to think it time for a change.
Agree - let’s not forget EVERY Board professes steadfast support for their coach until they suddenly don’t and the coach is shown the door.
What Brad has to do to keep Board support is show progress; noting that cringe-worthy corporate speak line that “…success is not linear…”.
We had taken two steps forward and then took another step back on Anzac Day. Comparing Anzac Day to Round 1 against the Hawks, we improved by about 20 minutes based on when we “broke”.
Let’s see what Brad does to take a step forward again this Saturday against the Lions.
I am still of the mind that neither Essendon or Gold Coast were going to get close to their opponents after playing the most cracking game of football in 30 degree heat. There is no such excuse this week. We are playing home again and have 7 days break. Lions have to travel and only have 6 days break.

Was it the person in your profile picture ?
As deflating results pile up surely attendances drop. Then again Essendon supporters are a delusional lot, expecting a different result each time they go to a game. Would love to see a statement from supporters this week and not turn up to show their disillusionment at the clubs direction.
YOU HEARD HG, BLITZ!
AVOID THE FOOTY AND SCOTT IS GONE!
The person I was talking to mentioned the board would be motivated to move if attendance and membership was impacted
I mean let’s be honest, this has literally always been the case. But everyone keeps buying memberships, keeps going to games and keeps tuning into kayo
Iam not so sure the past few years they have started actively giving away memberships.
And I think after the weekend the numbers will drop off. I think Dreamtime will be a big decider with both teams awful if a poor turnout happens at a big game like that which the club will be banking on the revenue then things could change quickly
If you look closely at the numbers, you can clearly see we are lagging other teams for memberships.
While we were 7th for total memberships in 2025, we are down on members since 2022. That comes as the league average change in memberships has increased by 14.5%.
Only Richmond and Melbourne have lost Members over this period.
I expect we will likely see membership numbers fall again when the 2026 data is released.
