Fans will have patience if progress is made over the journey and they can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Worsfold had 5 years and not once the team looked like it improved.
What if we are still producing the same garbage in 5 years time and not look like improving? Thats the concern i have.
I’m pretty shocked that Scott has come right out and said that McKenna was happy to play at any club except Essendon. I totally believe it but pretty stunned that Scott would actually say it. That’s a terrible indictment on the club.
nah, i think theres a lot of value in it, it signals to the entire mouth breathing fanbase that we need to do a factory reset on the club and build organically instead of cutting corners.
Assuming McKenna’s bitterness is about Campbell? Or the lack of support during the Covid saga?
Because Essendon gave him his shot, supported him during homesickness, allowed him to return home mid season, entertained his request to move to the forward line and then supported his early retirement to pursue a premiership with Gaelic football.
Sounds like an entitled prick. Pairs well with Daniher.
One of the best articles l have ever read from a coach, be it Essendon or elsewhere. Scott is shooting straight and that in and of itself is refreshing, he is going for a clean reset. This is what we should have done when we did renew Sheedy’s contract, but instead of doing that with Dimma, we went for the soft option taking Knights instead. The club has blundered from one error to another ever since. Scott must be given clean air to work in. It probably spells the end of Jackets, but that is not a problem, his use by date has expired.
