This new thread is not a rebuild.

Season 6 of this series better see his sacking.

That’s how I see it from the outside. Also seems to reflect North fans opinion of him. A modern coach with finite list spaces and the cost of development must be one that can recognise and harness the strengths of every player while mitigating and working on their weaknesses.

Jackson Lamb and his slow horses are now engaged.
Only one outcome Brad I’m afraid..

I’m at the point where I’m agitated seeing and hearing Tim Roberts be positive about Brad. I totally understand why he has to be, but this madness simply must end.

In reply to JW earlier .
Exactly this . If we are confused on mixed messages must be worse for the players. And yet more optics to have another review . Why the ■■■■ for? Pats on the back to show we’re in the right direction ? Firm up BS standing to finish his contract ? Something does not smell right. This forum is a classic case . Many invested supporters of differing backgrounds yet we all seem to see the shortfalls yet the club does not. Blind Freddie pffffffff .

I honestly feel a tad bad for the situation Scott is in. If Welsh didn’t need to show swagger and traded Merrett, there really wouldn’t have been any pressure on this year - or the next.

If Merrett was traded; then it really would have been obvious to blind Freddie that we are rebuilding.

This revisionist crap that Scott has been trying to purport of us being in a full blown rebuild the last 3 years needs to continue to be exposed by the media as a false narrative.

He is completely trying to rewrite history. In what world would ‘blind freddy’ have relisted Setterfield. Forget some of the team selections!

The media need to keep calling out the obvious rewriting of history going on by Scott to try save his job.

Probably yes ..
I mean, this is Essendon after all.

I thought Tim Roberts was extremely unimpressive in the clip I saw.

My accountant up in Lillydale has more sizzle about him.

And while we’re on CEO’s can someone explain to me why Craig Bleeding Vozzo is gallivanting around the country to get a handle on what makes a great Football Department. A 150 year old football club with the equal most Premierships and we don’t know what makes things tick. FMD

This stuff is irrelevant, we are the least successful football club for the last 2 decades, and that’s all that matters.

Having someone review best practices from other clubs / codes is a good thing in my view, I’m just not sure it should be the architect of our current set up marking his own homework.

I guess it all comes down to how you view the integrity of Vozzo.

Blind Freddy can see this thread has been rebuilding for the last 3 years

That explains where McKay’s head is at. And the other struggling players probably.

Regardless of when Scott is sacked this year, we need to be going into 2027 with a new coach, each of Merrett and Ridley (and any other senior player causing disunity) gone from the club and 2+ first round draft picks.

We should have a new coach, new assistant panel, new football department set up (per Vozzo review) and ideally a new President, though I won’t hold my breath on the last bit.

While I don’t expect a Melbourne style rebound as our list is in a different spot (you can quote me on this Nino), they have shown what a fresh coach, fresh game plan and cutting out the toxic influences can do for a group. We should absolutely be trying to take the same path.

I think the Vozzo stuff is a staged managed way of suggesting we’re doing another football department review. I will admit it’s strange that Vozzo is the man to lead it given he’s effectively structured our existing department, but I would guess there is alignment between he and the board, and now Vozzo’s out the door a certain level of objectivity about what he’ll find. Still weird though.

I thought they rolled out the Janitor.

We need to show more than to have traded out our most senior player for Scott to be around for 2027. There is so much else wrong with this year……
