Brad Scott - time for probing the probematic spelling (Part 2)

Win comfortably next week and I might start believing we have changed.

That would be nice.

We can’t keep shifting the goal posts (pardon the pun) each week.

I get the scepticism after the last 20 years … but if two bad quarters (vs Port) out of 28 for the year so far haven’t convinced you we are on the right path then I don’t know what will.

Each week we are going to get the “If we win the next game I will believe” stuff. We are still going to lose games this year but I think the general trajectory is heading in one direction. Get on board.

I probably won’t truly believe we have fully changed until we play and win a final.

I like what I see, we have done better than I expected…however…

Yep.

I am fully onboard with what Brad Scott and Vozzo and Barham are trying to do. I am onboard with the things they have done.

I am not sure I am a true 100% believer that this club has put 20 years behind them until we win a final.

The final win might not happen this year but I am supremely confident we are a lot closer to the end of the drought than the start of it.

The brand is looking more sustainable. We saw a great glimpse at our home ANZAC Day yesterday what the crowd/atmosphere would look like when that MCG final comes around … whether this year or imminent next couple.

I think I need to do the same

Yeah I agree with you. I wasn’t for getting Brad Scott, but the things he has been doing has won me over.

Geez, you’d bloody well hope so!

Was waiting for that!

Imagine if it was just mid-point…or closer to the beginning?

This was preseason. Team selection this year has further reaffirmed this.

I’ll judge him at the end of the year.

Now now… There’s no need for that Icey!

I watched the 2001 GF with a friend who did not barrack for either team, but was happy to support the Dons with me. In the last as the game was drifting to an end, I turned and asked “I wonder how long it will be before we are back? It feels like the end of an era”.

Geez, 24 years later…

Definitely Paddy. They want to fight, whinge and moan all the time. Yes, we do get frustrated with the team at times but I can see we are headed in the right direction. Stay Safe.

I was still indoctrinated enough to not even wonder that.

I assumed we’d win it in 2002…

What about Geelong! They’ve only been able to beat teams below them on the ladder. Hopeless!

I’d like to enjoy the lead up to a game, knowing I will see a competitive contest. Not my current anxiety about what version of the team will play.

And back it up the year after.

If we won in 2014, which we should have it wouldn’t have meant anything in the grand scheme of things. We wouldn’t be talking about twenty plus years without a win I suppose, but we still have a decade of crap afterwards.
