Yep, having supported through the successful times and watching last night you realise how far away we are
We can get there. Bit no idea when that would be

I wouldnāt mind doing one of those training camps myself! I am happy they are doing it, but doing that sort of thing (going above and beyond on your own initiative) has got to be seen as part of the culture (and not a one off to shut people up about Ibiza).
I think the fact they are just going to do it is good enough for me. Its the change in mindset, and Id rather them going for mental fitness than anything physical.
Well-run football clubs do footballing good.
We are not a well-run football club.
Not in the least.
Hell, weāre barely a football club these days⦠havenāt been for yearsā¦
We are a money making company that happens to play a football game each week for 6 months at a time.
That is a sobering statistic
When theyāve been smashed in the mouth, yep stars might be seen.
I thought it was a fad that long since passed. I donāt think Iāve heard a club do it for 10 years.
Probably about five years. Many of us may not be here, to see it sadly. Watching from upstairs.
Personally if I were a fit young guy, lots of money and holidaying overseas, I would do my damnedest to try to stay fit via ā ā ā ā ā ā ā ā as many willing young lasses as physically possible
Thatās one way to nail the 2041 draft.
maybe the club needs an agreement with players that it will cover alimony payments, encourage as many father-sons as possible
Why would we want any sons from our current crop?
they know doubt make you fitter, and give you a leg up to start your training back at home.
they may make our players run a lil bit more ingame, it they donāt fundamentally change what a player is.
zaka got fitter wen he did it no doubt, it didnāt make him crack into contests harder, didnāt make him smarter on defensive aspects of the game, didnāt change his mindest to defence first.
thatās why I and a couple of others keep pointing out, you canāt turn a player into something they are not.
mcgrath being fitterisnāt going to make him not jump out of the way of a player to let him waltz into a goal in the goal square.
itās not going to have a similar effect on kelly with some similar performances.
itās not going to make redman defend better
itās t goin to changed the team mindset of defence first, because ultimately the team as it is in itās current formation simply does not value hard work, defence first mentality.
look at the collingwood v melbourne game last night on both sides thereās a whole bunch of players who are just harder in all facets of the game.
you canāt turn players into what they arenāt, you can only move away from the players who arenāt what you want.
we however have gone down the exact opposite path like always, thinking we can turn this bunch of players into a contending list next year, and the year after flowing on from improvement next year.
fitter players running around making similar mistakes to this year, will simply produce similar results.
50 neglected kids of dud footballers does not help us win a future draft
Your spot on one players donāt like body contact and thereās nothing you can really do to change that.
Sure you can do tackling training and what not but that doesnāt change the kindest of someone like wright who just doesnāt crash packs or midfielders who just throw out a token hand instead of putting their bodies on the line
āAlt trainingā = sourcing the good supplements and not getting caught.
And how many grand finals have they won from making those prelims
