Brad Scott - yeah, whatever (Part 3)

Rohan was on bomber banter last night and he was spot on about this new regime under Barham,Vozzo,Rosa and Brad

Brad is not the greastest coach yes he can be frustrating when it comes to selection and what not but he’s the coach we need right now. This new regime has 20 years of mediocre to fix and that’s going to take time.

Rohan has full belief under this new regime. They are sticking the course and to a plan something the club has never done us fans need to back them in

What quick fixes? Quick fix is sacking the coach as Rohan said last night you could get Jock McHale coaching this side and wouldnt make a diffrence the list is not good enough simple as that.

We are fielding the youngest team each round and will have even more younger players against Sydney to come in with the injuries to Jones,Ridley etc

Yeah, nah. That was the justification used to donate millions to that cardboard cutout of Worsfold that they blu-taced to the coaches box window.

He’s almost certainly going to play Laverde and Shiel - and that would be a good example of a quick fix. Happy to be proven wrong.

I don’t see lav getting picked Brad didnt pick him when he was playing

Rested Tsatas last weekend so he’d be fresh to bring in against North. Rested Hayes from the VFL today…

Laverde won’t be eligible next week will he? There’s a couple of Sydney players I wouldn’t mind him headbutting.

I think he got two weeks? After this weekend I think he becomes available. I could be wrong on that.

You’re right. I thought he got 3.

So what?

Rutten 2021 was coaching a bottom 3 experienced team and bottom 5 in age (.6 away from being the youngest team that year).

We finished that year with a 109.1% (our best % in over a decade), and at least got us into finals for a crack at it.

At least we won Anzac Day and beat North by 72 points that year. In fact, that year we actually beat Adelaide by 60 odd points, Gold Coast by 70 odd points, and Collingwood twice.

Yeah we got smashed a few times, but you can accept that from super young and inexperienced sides, and we played extremely exciting footy at times, and got torn a new one other times.

All we see under this “young” team is boring dated football, and close games against the worst teams of the decade while playing a bunch of 23 and 24 year olds who have shown little development. And then a bunch of 28+ players who are even more disappointing.

Apparently we are rebuilding? And we are oh so young.

This year we have debuted 3 players:

  • Edwards (24 years old) now out injured
  • Kako (19, good)
  • Saad (23 years old)

In fact we only have around 3 under 21 year olds playing games regularly (Kako, Roberts, Caddy). When you’re rebuilding, your under 21 players are key to the future. You can make it 4 under 21 with Tsatas but Brad is setting him up to leave and has only played 3 games.

Richmond have debuted 6 players:

  • 3x 18 year olds
  • 2x 19 year olds
  • 1x 21 year old

This year they have 8 players under 21 playing games.

That’s what you call starting a rebuild. You give the young ones a crack, and as you are actually rebuilding you stay in the bottom 4 bracket. Not creep up to ■■■■■■■ 11th.

In fact the 23 and 24 year olds that we debuted this year, are actually in the top 5 oldest debuts that have occurred so far this season.

Stop giving age and experience as an excuse for a coach who simply cannot coach, and has a hatred of holding players accountability and giving youth opportunities.

Quoting ■■■■■■■ Rohan like his a disciple.

We should expect nothing less than great. And if he is not great, then put him in the canon and ■■■■ him off. You don’t extend him a further year for “stability” before he even gets to his last year. Yeah, stability for the board members and their comfy seats they sit on that would otherwise be vacated if they had to let this fraud of a coach go.

Well, if the legendary Rohan has full belief… SIGN BRAD FOR 10!

Tsatas got his chance last night and what did he do sfa

He dosent have any of that hunger/drive like a Durham,Caldwell or Merret he was very tentaive at times when i saw him play last night very close to becoming a bust at pick 5

You do reliase that richmond have just about the same amount of players over 25 like us. in fact they have at least 5 players that a 30 playing thier team their whole team isnt full of 18 year olds.

Maybe you should listen to what rohan said first.

rename bad scott

anyone who puts as much effort into improving his skills as he does , clearly has enough drive/hunger to make it

it was ass covering by barham and vozzo.
they knew the wolves would come this year when things turn to ■■■■ later in the season.

it buys them an extra year in their positions.
was nothing but a self interest exercise by the people who are linked to scotts failure with their own employment status

people prefer us to show some sign of actually improving to a reasonable standard, so that there’s some hope in a couple of years, we may actually get out of the hole we are in, win or lose.

We are winning games (against absolute trash when we play them) and barely getting over the line.
there’s no hope things are getting better, or improving on any front.

i will keep banging on about it, 3 goals against one of the worst football clubs of half a decade, in 3 quarters.
That shows this year is just a waste of a season going no where. we are just treading water til next year now, til we can sack this hack of a pretend coach.

If he didn’t have a famous brother who could coach, he’d have never got his foot back in the door. We literally recruited the the coaching version of when we recruited boomer harveys brother thinking he could emulate his output.

The next coach wont do any better with the current list

Brad,Vozzo,Rosa have 20 years of garbage to clean up that’s going to take years his main focus is to fix the club up in being professional and elite on and off the field getting wins is just a bonus atm.

If we dont set the foundations in recruiting/development right the next coach after Brad is a sitting duck

This is actually a very good point.

Winning the games we always win, in the same rubbish way, against the same rubbish teams, but with a different group of players, is not improvement.

It’s literally the definition of same ■■■■, different day.

it’s literally the same pattern of behaviour and cycles.

I’m sure others could pick it too, but i mentioned in the gameday thread at quarter time, this is the worst position for us to be in, 6 goal first quarter, things looked easy, norths pressure was down, it had all the hallmarks of essington turning up for the rest of the game, and it did.

everything at this club is just so predictable, because it has happened so many times before.

Rohan is just another barracker from the boundary like the rest of us. How come his words are words of wisdom suddenly?
