Brad Scott - yeah, whatever (Part 4)

We had a pretty healthy list earlier in the season and we still played poorly

More like Blitz is pathetic. blitz thinking sacking coaches all the time is the answer

The new coach comes in the and the % is the same then what?

The list is the problem its not good enough you could have Chris Scott or Fagan coaching and it will still be the same

Your pathetic

Blitz can’t handle a rebuild. Nope you don’t want to rebuild

All you do is repeat the exact same post or phrase multiple times a day.

You constantly stick up for Brad and say everyone who criticises him is wrong. Yet you never even try and explain your point. It’s just blind faith

No Nino, it’s a nice line to trot out but simply isn’t true.

Its not blind faith.

Brad should be given his full tenure to try and fix the club imo changing cocahes right now wont dont anything all it does is reset the club and pro long the rebuild

I’d give Scott to the end of next year to see if he really does have a game plan. Injuries this year make it impossible to tell. You’ve got guys who have only known each other 3 weeks which is not long enough to learn to play a system. But if I was Vozzo etc I would be busy scoping out a future coach. The worst thing we can do is sack a coach and then be left scrambling to find a replacement in a hurry. which is how we ended up with brad in the first place.

Still has a year to run after 2026 we have to pay out another coach if we moved him on

I still had Essendon as a bottom 4-6 team even with a full list at start of the year. Mentioned it regularly throughout pre season. Most footy scribes did too. Injuries have just turned them into bottom 2-4 in current plight that’s all.

My rationale was based on a world I doubt Essendon could get any continuity out of Reid, Ridley, Parish and injuries broadly and this has proved the case unfortunately.

Not sure I’d want him to coach in 2027 if there is no improvement next year. We won’t make finals but there has to be: a) a discernible effective game plan and b) a commitment to playing the best performing players

There is only 1 user on Blitz who has for so long been such a staunch supporter of sacking every coach and everyone at the club that we’ve had.

It’s ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā–  YOU.

Same can be said to others

This is one of the few times I agree with Nino.

Not because I believe Scott is the right man to lead us to a Premiership. In fact I think he has made some huge blunders.

If we’re heading into a painful long term rebuild. Then you’re gonna need someone with some real thick skin, who is not going to pay attention to supporters or the media to try and get some cheap, short term sugar hits.

IMO he sees out the rebuild, then you look to replace him with someone who will take this list to the next phase in 3-4 years time.

Yep thats how i see it too

I agree 100%.

I don’t think Scott is a great technician. But I think he’s very experienced and committed to the dirty work of building a high performing football club.

I think history will look back on a few key moments in time. Barham surviving last years election and in doing so cementing the necessary stability around Scott being among the most important.

I think he’s best placed to see through the hard yards the next 24 months, getting the club to the point where a great technician can come in and complete the job.

In the meantime, fix fitness & conditioning and potentially bring in some more technical nous to support Scott via new Assistant coaches

100% agree he was hired for this reason imo

Said he wouldnt have taken the job if we were looking for a quick fix and sugar hits.

You believe what comes out of Brad Scott’s mouth. The bloke is slime

Weaker than our 2006 season where we won 3 games.
