And I just don’t understand why. ???
so called game plan
We need to rebuild but I have no confidencein Brad. His selection decisions don’t imply development.
If we didn’t have the injuries he have had, would he be playing even half the kids he has been?
Setterfiled meh
Really?
Nino is the expert of all experts
And you would know
No different to the posts that declare how obvious it was x years later that we should have traded in / out / shook it all about of a previous draft.
I think we should use Nino as a consultant. What ever his advise is, we should be doing the complete opposite.
We would be better off with Voss as coach.
That’s how bad he is.
Yeah. Nah
And if we didn’t have the injuries would we have copped the beltings and maybe won a couple more games?
@jonovdp why single out Nino?

Respect setters but Brad giving him 98% midfield time - wow.
It’s because it’s his only position and he’s being used as stopper primarily. Serong wasn’t a good match up for him. anderson will be a better one
Bailey smith also wasn’t a good match up for him. Like I said, respect him given he always gives his all.
However just goes to show Brad being prepared to make concessions for some not for others.
Again, I’ve always liked Darcy Parish but he categorically ■■■■■ our midfield mix whenever he comes back. Setterfield was ok alongside the likes of Merrett, Durham and Martin but Parish, Setterfield, Caldwell categorically doesn’t work. One of the former needs to move out.
You need a dynamic player in there that can move out of stoppage quickly.
I think in this case the loss of Durham from that midfield unit overwhelms the ‘problem’ of Parish being added. But I agree.
My other issue is that this is best part though his 3rd year and Brad seems to have little idea as to what his best midfield mix is.
I think he knows what it is. I just happen to disagree with it. ATM he thinks it’s Caldwell, Parish and Setterfield. With rotations of Durham, Martin and Merrett who is clearly hampered.
But I think the bigger problem is our best midfield mix is still ■■■■, no matter who you think it is.
That’s a list issue.
Starting again actually implies we have been successful.
We haven’t been successful or tried a rebuild in the last 25 years
I think you are best to have a midfield mix of defensively minded inside player, an inside to outside player and a capable distributor.
That leads to a best midfield mix of Caldwell, Durham and Merrett.
Our B midfield would be Setterfield, [Tsatas/Parish] and Martin.
The issue is that of those players only Durham, Merrett and Martin are highly capable in other positions. So we are running a mix between A and B which doesn’t work.
Plus our ruck is being soundly beaten each week (whether Goldy or Vigo) which compounds the issue.
