Brad Scott - yeah, whatever (Part 4)

For next years draft thats fine

I thought you meant trade out players to get picks for this years draft

What’s another 10 years :joy::joy:

Says who?
The media?
Besides we can trade for future picks

No one.

Stringer wins the game for the Giants. Great ‘culture’ trade out.

Got to keep in blokes with private school backgrounds dont we. VC Andrew McGrath

Congratulations Brad Scott on another great decision you flog.

The people who dont want to rebuild cant say anything about this. @Finding_Nino

I have no issue with Brad forcing stringer out. It was the right call. For both the club and stringer himself

What doesn’t make sense is, why would you play him every game and then force him out?

Why is the list management suddenly on Scott?

Really? You can mount a case against Scott in a number of areas, but trading out Stringer is the one we’re going with?

To ensure Stringer played enough games to trigger the clause in his contract to get another year automatically. This means he ends the season under contract for next season meaning he can’t walk for nothing, he needs to be traded.

TBF he pretty well walked for nothing. Did we even use the pick we got for him?

For Scott to have any credibility at all he must drop Perkins next game.

He still wont have any

Aaron Francis and E Tsatas!

We got pick 53 from GWS.

On the night, we bundled picks 40, 46 and 53 and sent them to Brisbane for picks 35, 37 and 58.

With 58, we picked Unwin.

Correct. Both of those would be better coaches than Brad

The only experienced coach available that i would get is Nathan Buckley.

And I don’t think he wants to coach Essendon.

Rather the “heat” be on us getting great assistants and then hopefully seeing Rosa and Obrien pluck some draft and trade gems.

Scott might end up being caretaker, or when he assembles the team he might surprise everyone. As long as players want in under him is the main thing.

I don’t get the rag on the “game plan”. Someone tell me how they should be playing?

Wouldn’t be interested in John Longmire?

I’d happily have him or Buckley. I think they both have the right mixture of authoritative coaching that our group needs while still being tactically sound.

From what they were they saying on the Sunday Footy Show Longmire is not really inrested in coaching said Simpson is the more keen to have a job next year

Longmire is burnt out and will want a few years in the media he’ll get the Tassie job imo

I probably wouldn’t bother changing coach for Simpson, although I wouldn’t know enough about him and his game style to know if it would be worth it.

I want us to change coach for someone with a strong history, if not then clean out our assistants and bring in the best we can.
Our assistant coaches are honestly abysmal.
I don’t rate Brad tactically but it’s pretty clear he garners respect from the players. If we can get the best tactical minds to pair with him it would probably be ok.
