Brad Scott - yeah, whatever (Part 4)

Only one of Parish, Setterfield and Tsatas came play for me. Parish and Setterfield in there lacks class and spread from the contest.

Midfield group needs to be mostly Caldwell, Durham, Merrett and Martin. Other players will need to predominantly play forward

I’m not talking about the results per se. I’m talking about would we be playing the kids? Unlikely, and even more unlikely if we did indeed win a few more games like you hypothesised.

But winning a few more games has constantly ended us in the mid-ladder wasteland like previous years.

The bottom line is we have a suspect coach, suspect senior players and a terrible forward line coach. Not much to look forward to. Oh, and a terrible fitness group.

Hehehehehehe, I understand where Nino is coming from sometimes, I also sit in the let Brad see out his contract camp, but this trade period is huge for him I reckon. I either remain in that camp or jump the fence

As for the draft, I have no idea and I’m not going to repeat what the media rabbit on about

I do love the fact that Nino will jump on anything anyone says for his narrative.

The classic one is that ā€œCal said there’s no star factor and the draft is weakā€.

Meanwhile Cal literally said this week, we should look at letting Draper go, and take 5 picks (inside 25) to the draft.

Don’t mind the idea of 5 inside 25
Reckon there is plenty of star power inside the first 25 (don’t ask me who, I wouldn’t have the foggiest of ideas)
Maybe we can trade a few senior players for another few the in top 30

I rather trade some players next year

You mean like he ā€œrebuiltā€ at North??

Our current coach has got that covered

Nino please

Time to get rid of the stale players not getting us anywhere
I think some of our senior players would look much better clubs that can cover their weaknesses
We can’t, same players, same problems, same mistakes
Move them on

I think history will look back on the Barham / Scott period as another failed venture

Moving on those senior players - McGrath, Ridley, Redman, Langford, Parish, Draper etc. means another 10 years in the wilderness….mind you we might have 10 years in the wilderness in either case

Perhaps.
But atleast they have been ambitious in removing the likes of Brasher, Campbell and Dodoro.

That would not have happened otherwise. We’d still be in a position of people looking after the own business interests ahead of the club, and taking short term sugar hits to keep themselves in a job.

Rock bottom is a better position to be in, than mediocre and stuck in no man’s land.

True….replaced the duds with another group of duds

It does? Sounds like a very good strategy to me

2026 might be a better draft to trade out players

You know that we can do that this year, right?

Yes but this years is supposedly not strong 2026 could be a stacked draft.

Ffs.

You know that we can trade players out this year, for picks next year?

I’m ok with it too at this stage….because we’’ll have it anyway if they are still around
