I’ll just repeat this:
In the last 10 years every club in the competition has had a top four finish (either a PF appearance or top four at the conclusion of the H&A season) except us, Gold Coast and St Kilda. It’s not some sort of gargantuan achievement, the last 10 years shows it’s actually more like a matter of course.

And, of course, he got an absolute rolled-gold gift in the first week of the 2014 finals, which I’m sure we’re all trying to banish from our memories.

Hobbs 100 percent isn’t
Perkins is too busy thinking about the after party to worry about the game, if he was at a club like Geelong they would make him into a gun

Iam giving him a red hot crack

You won’t have the staying power.

Nino is the Kipchoge of Brad Scott related posting.

Needs context… Tbone is making a charge but is firmly in the “make the Crap Twin accountable” camp. Nino on the other hand is firmly in the “All hail Brad, I worship thee Brad, give thanks to Brad” camp.
Just saying…

The suits at the club will be watching Tuesday night.

Will Hird undermine Brad?

No.

It’s just a fantasy. He won’t ever coach at Essendon again.

But Brad Scott should still be on very thin ice. He obviously isn’t. But he should be.

Undermine him?

Hird is currently in the media. He is not in a position to undermine Brad.

He may actually ask him some uncomfortable questions - which would be nice as the media are generally very compliant with Brad - but he cannot undermine him.

Yeah im not so sure we finish bottom four next year Brad will get the bullet.

Club will be like “Here Jim we give you another chance”

How can you undermine BS?

He is so far down that he is already on the other side of the world.

It is unbearable watching the way he has this team playing.

No coach would be better than this dross.

Brad Scott, for me, is basically like employing ChatGPT as head coach. He says the things that sound right to say but there is no underlying vision, intuition or nous. Just select the oldest team that has the best chance of winning each week and sit on autopilot.

I would argue the club has had this attitude for quite a while. Just ‘expecting it would happen as a matter of course’ and that’s exactly the problem. It doesn’t just happen. You need all departments of your club in good order and pulling in the right direction. We haven’t had that in the last 10 years.

We do not have a top 4 list. Not even close.

It’s clear Scott won’t criticise players in the media but his attempt to draw positives from the weekends abomination is pathetic.

Not only were his statements factually incorrect (keeping the Bont in check) but his empty words do nothing to soothe long suffering supporter angst, just magnifies the frustration.

Yes, injuries to key players haven’t helped. A young team will have its ups and downs. Still, Scott’s credibility as coach comes into sharp focus AGAIN given the team’s ongoing inability to defend against good teams.

It’s just more of the same with Brad.

You hear when Justin Longmuir or Fly McRae or Fagan speak when their team plays badly? They call them out.

Can we make suggesting hiring of Hird a bannable offence?

It’s beyond lunacy at this point. Move the fk on.

Potentially.

Do their supporters have a blinding Messiah complex?

Your an idiot

If we lose to Richmond on Friday I would say we finish 17th. If we win would could go as high as 14th. Who really cares about the difference there. This is a rebuild and it’s just like we thought it would be. No one here thought we were playing finals. We are exactly where we all predicted we would be.
