I just think if Brad has the courage to continue pumping games into kids like Goldy, we’re on the right path. Got to see where this kid is at.

A coach all in on a rebuild and development wouldn’t be giving Shiel a farewell game( it’s not like he has earned one either)
then again, Brad isn’t interested in rebuilding
Everyone else is interested in thinking that he is.
Even if you do hold a black and white position on rebuilding, that’s not a great example to support it.

Mightbe a good opportunity for Shiel to get a heap of the ball and help his trade value.
He absolutely deserves one, nothing on the line, gave everything he could and brought some professionalism to an unprofessional club, was sold an absolute ■■■■ sandwich and maintained his professionalism, gave everything when he went back to the twos as well, take off your brad hating glasses for just one minute and appreciate this is the right call

We paid this bloke a ■■■■■■■ great salary & sponsorship opportunities that will give him & his family generational wealth.
We ■■■■■■■ need to invest in the future NOW and any opportunity to blood young players or give that extra game or 2 in the AFL is worth it. This is a disgraceful call. I cant stand this blokes selection process. El-Hawli would have now lost all confidence in his ability. What great ■■■■■■■ development of young players there.

That is categorically untrue.
This was not a knee jerk reaction. PCL injuries were a long term consistent issue for ruckmen. This rule completely eliminated it. No way they will remove that circle.

A farewell game for me is when you play someone who through form, injury or whatever is not near selection but you basically gift a game to as a sign of goodwill
Shiel like it or not was in our best team and through suspension missed a week. He was always rightly or wrongly coming straight back in
