Before Norf, it was Richmond and before them it was Geetroit, etc.
(For the record, I’ll never understand why any club would think to copy the Norf blueprint).
RE Brad - there’s divisions with extreme views; those that hate on him and those that make up BS excuses for him. It’s fair to say that he’s had it tough with things outside of his control; but it’s also equally fair to say that he deserves some of the criticism he gets.
Ultimately, he’s had three years and he needs to start making progress. No coach, not even messiah’s are safe from this. If he can’t deliver, the club should rightfully be looking at other prospective candidates that might offer up a strategy that aligns with a young list and helping to make the club very good very quickly again.
The alternative is you don’t make progress and start falling behind - which in my opinion, is exactly what we’re seeing now.
Adem Yze will be entering his 3rd year should he be moved on too if Tigers don’t show any progress in 2026.
You need to give the coach more then 3 years to shape and develop a young rebuilding side like ours doesn’t happen over night
if it takes 5-6 years before we see any significant progress so be it we are so far behind the rest of the comp it’s not funny we aren’t your normal club where thing can progress quickly.
On top of this the list has been farked with injuries and it will take a couple of years for Innes and co to fix.
Depends on how we lose the games, if Jones is running around on the wing and players like Perkins and Gresham are cemented in the 23 while playing bruise free average footy, then I’d be a little annoyed.
I agree – being hands on is great provided you’re not getting in the way of anyone trying to do their job.
I like that he’s showing up to things, getting to know players and staff. It’s what a local President would do – it makes the place feel smaller and more connected, which I think is helpful. He’s also a helpful guy for players to know – he’s very well connected and built all of that on the back of exactly what they’re doing now.
Rutten wansn’t ready to be senior coach only reason he got the job because the Crows were sniffing for Rutten as their next senior coach so the club puts in place a stupid succession plan.
Right now the club seems to be a in a good spot the board, ceo, president, coach, players etc all seem to be on the same page we have a new s&c coach who’s already doing some impressive work we stick the course.
