Brad Scott - yeah, whatever (Part 4)

The amount of crap we will cop for sacking another coach with a year to go

Barret and ■■■■ will have a field day saying “same old essendon’” ‘they don’t learn" "always looking for short cuts’ etc

If it’s the “same old people” then that indicates this isn’t the first instance of complaint.

Couldn’t be that the “same old people” have been making the “same old” complaints because the “same old coach” is turning out the “same old ■■■■”.

He’s useless and has been since day one.

Can you name an area we’ve improved in during his tenure?

The “same old” line is just proof that he’s been absolute rat vomit from the start.

It’s kind of funny when you think about it

One if the first things he said when he arrived was put players in their best position. He promptly put McGrath to half back and settled Langford forward.

Since then he keeps finding ways to move players out of their best positions.

Oh no. That sounds terrible.

Still a garbage coach, and I will die on the hill saying the weak thing is not to sack him, the weak thing is keeping him.

:100:

It’s not just 1 or 2 people that see the same problem

1 example in last quarter we are out of the middle and 3 of them lead to the same spot

St kilda kick it to the fastest guy on the lead out of the centre

We bomb it on everyone’s head

What planet merret out of the goal square … what forward craft does he have

Indeed.

It’s the majority of people on here (unscientific / no measurement method used) who can see that he’s a terrible coach.

It would be alright if any of these stupid moves and positioning was working towards something, but it clearly isn’t.

We have not improved in any area.

He absolutely sucks.

This in particular. I can’t be bothered looking up how many career contested marks Merrett has, but I’ll wager it’s not a lot more than me.

Plus he is entirely incapable of goaling.

Ridiculous move.

I don’t give a ■■■■ what Barrett has to say about Essendon

To be fair maybe bombing it on his head isn’t the best way to deliver it to him.

Well then, we better sign him up for 10 years then.

The “same old Essendon” and “not learning” was not following a proper process in getting this fraud in the first place.

It’s worked about as well as every coach from Knights onwards that we’ve employed without following a proper process. As in, not well at all…

My only worry if he gets the sack is they go with Solomon when you have Ken Hinkley free

Given we had Sheeds for 27 years I’d argue the club has possibly NEVER followed a proper hiring process.

I’ve always said, I’d be more than happy, for Brad to prove me wrong.

However I’m arrogantly certain, that he wont.

That isn’t based on todays output, it’s based on how stubborn he is, and how little sense some of his choices make.

So how long into the season do we reckon before Scotty is sacked?

I think it’s highly likely that a different coach would be able to achieve significantly better and faster development results with this squad than Brad Scott.

So obviously we’ll do nothing.

And anyone who does needs to be lobotomized.

Whether it’s Solomon or Hinkley or who-bloody-ever, you can bet your house it will be offered to that person in a sham process, or a circumvented process, or a sweetheart deal, or a boat race. And we will be here again in four years’ time tossing a failed coach because we yet again didn’t follow a proper recruitment process.

Because we are Essendon.
