Brad Scott - yeah, whatever (Part 4)

The idea was to extend Brad to 2027 as everyone needed to be aligned to the plan up to that date. Since then Vozzo has gone as CEO and Barham is gone as president. Its not a long bow to draw that Scott also goes at some point. The most likely time is at the end of 2027 as I dont believe Essendon can actually afford to pay him out.

Kelly

Goddard or Enright.

But id prefer the Cats boys over BJ personally.

I’d be offering Kingsley a 6 year deal. I think he is the next great coach.

Imagine ours players coping the wrath of Kingsley after a crap performance they would cry

Reckon they never had a coach like that before

Nino you seem fully convinced that Brad will leave?

No I think he sees out his contract. I’m with you don’t think the club can afford a pay out they lost money last year and are in the red iirc

Money is not easy until we start getting finals so yeah I think he’s safe. I have a feeling the old S&C guys may have been on a contract as well which is why they didnt leave till last year (that’s just a guess but would be good if anyone knows about it)

The cats guys come from that successful program but BJ is an angry prick.

We would be getting some Kingsley type sprays from BJ

Getting a spray from a bj does not sound great

Go away Nino is a far better idea.

Yeah/nah I’m tired of Sheedy making destabilising comments.

I would like a good young coach with an apprenticeship like Josh Carr, I was really keen on him before he was even mentioned publically as the next up and coming coach. Guys that have won a flag at VFL or SANFL level often translate that to AFL level. It’s particularly impressive when they take a struggling club to a flag like Carr did.

Give us a break. All Sheedy and Corcoran are saying is Scott’s appointment was dodgy. Hird was the panel’s preferred candidate but Scott got the job. Telling the truth is not divisive. The club during and since the saga has buried the truth and said ā€˜move on’. We can’t and won’t ā€˜move on’ if we keep burying the facts.

Hiring Hird would have not looked dodgy too?

They can have an opinion but why they needed to say this crap right on the eve of the season.

I’m sick and tired of it

Is this true?

If so I’m glad Brad got the job. Not a fan of Brad but if it’s going to keep Hird away from the gig then give him another 5 years

I love Sheedy but everything he has done since 2000 has nearly destroyed the club

Sheedy should have been given his marching orders when he said he voted of Hird on the day Brad was hired

I couldn’t bear to watch him whimpering, let alone for an extended time. Poor Sarah.
