no it’s not true, no person in their right mind would hitch their name to hird, it’s only delusional sycophant essendon people who do that, and the panel was made up of essendon hating people.
Disunity in football is death.
The truth is not crap. If the club was succeeding under Scott that would be the story. But the club is a basket case.
Disunity has been caused by the club because it has hidden the truth and tried to ‘move on’. Leaders create unity. Think Coleman and Sewell. Don’t run the line now is not the time to expose the club’s disastrous governance.
I don’t think the club was hiding the truth.
iirc the club publically said that Hird presentsed and interviewed well the panel decided to go with Brad in the end
Always looking backwards, no wonder we struggle to make progress.
Are you confident about the future?
Confident?
Not particularly.
Dodo’s created another burner account
Nothing will ever convince me that Robert Walls and Jordan Lewis preferred Hird to Scott.
I also don’t reckon the story would change if it was someone other than Scott coaching. Long term allies and friends of Hird want him resurrect his reputation but it’s not going to happen.
None of this will go away until we win a flag or everyone leaves this mortal coil.
Agree totally with this
It was petty and childish for sheedy to come out with that on the day Scott was announced
(Comment posted in a thread where the sentiment is Scott won’t last the rebuild).
When does the rebuild start?
^Bookmarked and an alarm set for July.
■■■■, I might need to move my bookmark to an earlier time on July 1…
The infatuation with hird is a strange one and I think it’s because the old guard feel they have more power if he’s coaching.
I said last year after watching hird on footy furnace, his footy knowledge seems only surface level I was a bit disappointed. Jimmy Bartel runs rings around him with game knowledge, so I don’t get the constant calls for him to return as coach
Honestly, I don’t think head coaches need to be master tacticians, or even good ones tbh.
But they absolutely do need to know how to mentor, develop and unite a group towards a common goal. I think in this day and age that counts for a large majority of the role.
Sacked yet?
We had a process. Robert Walls and Jordan Lewis recommended Brad Scott.
Wonderful.

Pick two people that hate our football club with a passion and pay them to make one of the most important decisions in the last two decades.
Another great move by the powers that be that are more concerned about optics rather than logic.
Yep spot on. Said it the otherweek and ill say it again from what ive heard. If we dont improve and we are dishing the same garbage, he well move scott on & solly will be in charge
You will have to stew on it for a few more decades 19… It ain’t being dredged back up.
