Brad Scott - yeah, whatever (Part 4)

Didn’t Walls barrack for us as a kid?

I consulted the Ouija Board and it spelled out “ROFLCOPTER”.

Harsh on Victoria.

I was told 12 months ago that the club has already unofficially earmarked Kelly to take over in 2027 should Scott fail. Now there has been a change of President since then but I see no reason why that would change.

I love James Hird but he’s not the right man. The best course of action with a coach is to appoint an experienced assistant from a successful club. Kelly fits that bill

If that was the case surely they would have locked him and celebrated it as a succession plan

If that ends up happening its really exciting news. It shows a level of ambition and Im all for it.

How very nice of Essendon. Of course it all depends on whether Kelly has earmarked Essendon…

Yeah lets hope some kind of wink wink thing has happened

Every one will be happy with James Kelly untill he cops his first 10 goal loss and fans turn on him.

Essendon fans? Surely not….

Yep.

I think which ever coach we get next is on a hiding to nothing.

Man, I must be pretty isolated in my thoughts. Never felt such a glimmer of actual hope with the state we are in. Players I talk to a pretty upbeat on what lies ahead

The current “state” is not because of the coach… Let’s be real.

I should have written state, not State. My apologies.

Scott is pretty safe for mine.

This regime has preached stability above all.

He might get some support from a hinkley but I reckon he stays regardless of how we go this year.

Actually, you could argue an aspect of it is. Now team selection Brad can do my head in, and I am still waiting on game plan result to come through (giving him 12 more months)…..but he was critical for in identifying standards, fitness, off field professional behaviour.

This is typically not an issue in March.

As he should imo we are tipped to finish bottom 5

What do you think we actually need to see, cause I think a lot are in agreeance but do we judge swift ball movement? what if we try but player skills let it down and result in turnover scores? Is that more the player skills and experience over game plan?

Like if we see the chip chip backwards kicks then, yes, that’s not going to take us forward. But having a good/right game plan but then the players being able to execute it right now are two different things IMO

Well, I think we win a final in the next 3 years and then see where we go after that.

The list of Roberts, Caddy, Kako, Sharp, Robey, Bewick, Reid, Farrow, Clarke, Johnson, Caldwell, Durham etc all growing up and developing the next 3 years for me is a list that will be seen as the best since 2000. Important we get in 1-2 genuine talents via Free Agency and trade as well. Time to shop
