You guys are fairly pathetic
cant wait for more rhetoric about standards.
I saw the same sub standard from Perkins, Prior, Gresham and Hobbs.
Parish clearly not ready.
Merrett is playing where exactly?
Forward entries are rancid. Kick ins say hold my beer.
He canāt coach, there is no game plan and very little player development.
He just keeps picking his favorites.
Perkins is a joke, Hobbs marginally less funny, Goldy is the future!
I will never forgive him for subbing off El Hawli in the Dogs game, ruined another kid.
Iām not a Hird advocate, but, I am anti Scott.
You cant give away 5 goals in the first qrtr and then ask everyone what is going on at the break, Brad.
Ima 1000% sure he doesnāt want to play fast pace pressure footy
Heās being forced due to injury to play kids
Still picks favourites
Never have rated him
I hope someone asks him why Merrett is being played out of position. He seems fit so why the hell isnāt he in the middle? Could well have cost us wins these past 2 weeks.
When most of the injured seniors return, who will Scott drop? My guess, the young ones who are having a dip and blokes like Hobbs, Perkins, Prior and Gresham will stay in.
Yeah thatās really angered me. His use of Merrett has cost us a win tonight. Taken an elite midfielder and put him where he can have the least impact on the result of the match.
I just listen to his presser. I just wish the press group would be a little more imaginable on the questions asked. Same questions each week. How was Goldy? You must be happy with Caddy? What did you think of the Durham thing?
I know theyāre often just footy knobs abd often a bit junior but seriously, how about a few more searching or interesting questions that have more depth and probe further?
He was asked. From the rage.
Bombers coach Brad Scott said he had deliberately not looked at a replay of Durhamās bump, but that in general he encouraged his players to āgo low in the contest and make the ball their objectiveā.
āTheyāve got to make split-second decisions,ā Scott said. āImagine being a player now. You bump because if they havenāt got the ball, itās holding the man. You want to tackle to dispossess, but you canāt dump them.
āI understand all the challenges in the game around health and safety, but players have probably a more difficult job now, in terms of duty of care to their opponents, than theyāve ever had at any stage in AFL history.
āDurhamās a go-ahead-type player and as hard at the ball as anyone, and thatās really what we encourage him and our players to do.ā
Those morons can take it to Hirdās own special thread then.
Because weāve entered injury induced tank protocols.
I assume we just turn up and stand around for the first quarter of itā¦
To be fair, apart from Tsatas who seems to be on the way out, who should he be picking with a decimated lineup?
Unwin? Davey? Blackiston?
Iād love to see Vigo played but also think holding him a bit longer will do him good.
We are not tanking ffs.
I think Brad values Merrettās leadership down back and then tried to shift him around to find a position he could be effective notwithstanding Cincotta sitting on him all night.
Much to reactive imo, play him in his best spot, if for some reason he is getting tagged out of it, then look at something else. To start off playing him out of position just helps the opposition
I agree with Tsatas, although, I would like to have a run of 4-6 weeks, in the midfield to get a proper opinion of him. Rather than just playing players that are not going to make it, Iād rather we have a look at the MSDās .
I thought May, in particular, Blakiston and Smartt all were good and showed enough to be looked at in the seniors this year.
Assuming Redman is fit, he will come back in.
I agree with blooding Vigo; however, maybe next week.
Menzie has been given ample opportunities and Davey appears to have his papers stamped.
Weāre getting blown out of the water in Q1 way too often this year.
How many times has Geelong finished us in Q1 in past years.
Letās see if Brad can come up with a plan this week to address the obvious problem.
Geelong give us the luxury of taking the foot off. If we start slow, this will be a Western Bulldogs style loss.
