Bevo is trying to protect Tim Id, but he can’t hide in the forward line for an entire game.
He has dominated a cooked Bellchambers, and a very poor Zac Clark.
Draper is exactly the type of Ruck that he has nightmares about.
Bevo won’t even bother putting him in against Draper all that often, and they desperately need another tall forward anyway.

This. If they don’t go in with Martin, Draper really needs to get physical early. If the ruck load is put on non-ruck types Big Sam will clean up.

Nah I don’t want to. Hooker has nothing left in the tank. Good luck getting him putting in some defensive pressure against the likes of Dale, Williams and Daniel. No thanks.

Perkins, Jones and Cox have all been great this year and exceeded expectations.
I get the calls to play them ‘for the experience’.
However, it is also an ‘experience’ to miss out on selection for a final. One that burns in the guts for, like, ever. It could keep them honest and hungry for the rest of their careers.
Bring in Walla if he is 110% raring to go and out Perkins. Cox or Perkins sub - toss a coin or best of 3 paper, scissors, rock.

Forget the betting line, what’s the Blitz Line that we could walk away with on Sunday evening and feel content (despite losing, if it does happen) and that post-game reaction/reflection of the season would lean towards more the glass half full rather than empty?
I know people say now “I’ll be proud whatever happens!” but we know that is rarely the case for most.
It’s hard to speculate game scenarios, like losing by 25 after being 50 down at Half Time (for example) … but hypothetically…
I reckon the line is a competitive 18 points. If we go down under this margin in a competitive game for 4 quarters, I reckon that will keep the masses at bay during the pre-season.
