I’m somewhat ashamed to admit that I had bet on west coast to win by 77.5 in a multi, so in the end it made it very tense!
Good effort in the first half but disposal efficiency was terrible. Good to see Joey kicking straight and I loved Jamar’s mongrel. Not much else to say.
■■■■ calm and reasonable, I’m ■■■■■■■ ropable. This ■■■■ had to stop. 2 free kicks in the first half, the second just before half time then pointless make up frees in the second half to make it look like the were actually doing their job.
Terrible umpiring, our full side wouldve struggled to beat them with that going on…

Is there anyone on here that's pretty cluey with making videos? Wouldnt it be great to make a video highlight of all the really really bad umpiring calls and post it all over the internet. Surely it might get some noise going and someone in the afl might have to be accountable for the garbage that is served up week in week out by the monkeys in yellow.Would be interested to see how many times Priddis just drops the ball out of a tackle.

Sort of hard to blame them for dropping their heads but as a leader he has to be better with his attack on the ball and the man when required.
He’ll benefit from others coming back more than most but he has to dig deep for the remainding matches as a senior player.
Most of our main troubles stem from our entire inside midfield bar Bird + a bunch of P platers being suspended. ¯\\_(ツ)_/¯Yeah, but we might be able to keep the discussion to the team that’s on the field and the game that was “played”.
Ok - we were unable to defend the spread because in order to overcome a deficiency on the inside we had to overcommit numbers to the contest, which meant that the guys who would normally be defending the wider players such as Gaff and Jetta are either in the pack or in no mans land. Either way, every time we lose a contest, we’re pretty much screwed because the outside guys have that head start.
That’s why the undersized defenders are isolated so often. That’s why we kick to no one so often, because the forwards are rolling up to cover the extras around the contest.
Analysing the tactics this year is pretty pointless for that reason. Either piling extra numbers into the contest to compensate works, in which case we give ourselves a difficult opportunity to score in say a 4 on 6 situation up forward, or it doesn’t, in which case we get carved on the spread. Either way, it’s a problem which can’t really be solved this year.
I get the feeling that we won’t see consistent improvement in the umpiring of Essendon games for a very long time. Upside is that surely can’t get much worse.

In my calm and considered opinion we can put a legion of players down back and keep the loss to under 100. However if we want to back ourselves to win leave a couple up forward. Oh and a few well deserved free kicks would help.
