Yep is has to be announced in August. Maybe to give both the coaches and the team a chance to lock in coaching groups for the following season.

In case you’re mis-reading that, the rule is apparently that existing coaches need to be told by August 1 if they’re being sacked.

I assume it’s just to keep teams not making finals in the news during this lame duck period.
