About three inches of end float in the water pump bearing / shaft and coolant all over the road will do that, yeah.
She did have the good sense to shut it down and not cook the engine, so she’s done well there.

Almost got it. Unfortunately the Gran Coupe doesn’t come in manual. Plan is to keep this for a few years then upgrade to a manual M2
Yeah it’s not perfect. I wouldn’t buy one with the currenr drivetrain in it either. The Hyundai i30 hybrid engine is coming to it though.
But geez they have nailed the styling imho. Even that’s not perfect but it looks better than any other reasonably priced vehicle in the last little while.(eye of the beholder and all)

My personal preference for a classic BMW is a naturally aspirated 6 and manual box , but the Gran Coupe does look fantastic.
Yeah I’d have liked manual too but the practicality of the Gran Coupe gets it over the line. 8 speed ZF with flappy paddles is a decent compromise.
