They do get KOTD but when the draw was done for 2025 the Swans had just come off a losing Grand Final so Sydney at the SCG was a decent fixture.
I think it is very unfair to bag the kids.
We have very little leadership & direction on the field and possibly less off.
Our coaching & development has been terrible and the game plan a dog’s dinner, to say the least.
Hopefully this is all about to change and we will see massive improvement across the board in coming years.
Let’s assess these kids again in 12 months time.
Absolutely.
I do find it quite ironic they lost their last 3 straight in 2023 and missed finals, and the following 3 years they get an absolute layup run home outside that Sydney game.
Little Creatures is awesome at any time but especially when the cats are playing. There’s nobody in there!
Ouch.
When does the mrp for our game come out? I think there’s a chance kako cops 1
BYO vaseline.
Not one finalist played in the last 3 games for The Cats for 3 years straight. I’m sure it’s all just a coincidence though.
Yeah, but if this was 1999, this would be a tough draw.
Prior to Sunday 2MP had kicked 18 goals for the season! 18! You kinda proving my point! Caddy gets no help, double teamed and we are poor defensively. You think sides are wasting their best defender on 2MP?
I mean well done to the lad, he is 200+ cm with one of the best kicks in the AFL, but he should be more of threat on a weekly basis not once a year!
Very true. Hard to argue with that.
2MP is averaging 1.6 goals a game this year while spending large chunks of games in the ruck. He’s had an interupted, but productive season. I’m not really arguing with you though, I agree that it’s been a hard slog for Caddy without much support. He ■■■■■■ Archer May’s shoulder which didn’t help!
I think playing in the ruck has made him a much better player. He is more involved in the game and not stuck in the f50 with 2 defenders on him the whole game. Unfortunately, this means that Caddy now has the 2 defenders.
May was a very big lose, he was coming along well.
I actually like a forward line including Caddy, May , Wright, Kako, HEA & a top draft pick, pinch hitting with mid size players like Robey.
With development & coaching this could be a very challenging set up for oppositions.
This’ll end well.
Seriously, O’Sullivan is not going well because he has good players around him. He’s played on all the #1 opposition forwards and more than held his own in the main. The kid is a seriously good player.
And we have to stop making excuses for Caddy. His highlight tape looks great. But his ability to halve or win a contest man on man is poor. No amount of good players around him will fix that. He has a lot of improving to do.
Genuinely may be over a 100 point loss.
Which would be helpful in our pursuit to chase down Richmonds % except that theyll have their same flogging against Adelaide in Adelaide.
Being plugged to play down in Geelong says it all about where we are. Dont see Collingwood being shoved down to play down there ever.
Even if we fielded our full squad, we’d still come up 100 points short.
O”Sullivan is a very good footballer, absolutely no doubting that. But to say the players around him don’t help him is just bizarre. The confidence , support, development, culture etc would be incredible for his growth.
In our line up he wouldn’t be as dominant…on the flip side im sure Caddy would look far more impressive playing next to Neale, Cameron, Martin and their mids delivering on a platter.

He wouldn’t get a game [- struggles to do the basics. He would be in Geelong’s VFL side.
