I think we are a sneaky chance here. Hear me out:
Brad and Chris are clearly close.
There’s likely some bad blood between the club and Brad.
Brad is therefore likely to help Chris with inside information.
Brad demonstrated little understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of the list when he coached the club.
The inside info he will share with Chris will end up being an advantage to us.

Put the litmus test on Caldwell and Perkins to show some fight.

I think it’s a fair tactic to try distract Geelong.
We can try be intimidating and put them off their game. They’ll be laughing so hard at us they might just lose focus.

We will lose by 40 points but it will feel like 100 because Cats will never really get out of 1st gear
Looking at the ladder, the Cats know % will be important should Bris, Dees and Crows lose 1 game. Dees and Crows play Freo and Lions have the Hawks.
If those teams drop 1 game the Cats will finish 4th on %, they’ll be trying to belt us.
If Geelong win all three games by ~40 points (say 110 - 70 on average), they’ll end up with a %age of ~122. That’s going to be more than enough to lead the other contenders for that spot.
They’ve got a run home which means they can manage players a bit and still get a solid percentage boost.
