I think we are a sneaky chance here. Hear me out:
Brad and Chris are clearly close.
There’s likely some bad blood between the club and Brad.
Brad is therefore likely to help Chris with inside information.
Brad demonstrated little understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of the list when he coached the club.
The inside info he will share with Chris will end up being an advantage to us.
just make this the line in the sand match.
I don’t care if we win, just take it up to the cats at every contest, unsociable footy.
Dyson Sharp can rag doll a few. Don’t expect the senior players to do much of the heavy lifting Bar Redman.
Put the litmus test on Caldwell and Perkins to show some fight.
Get someone to fire up Day-wicks pre match, need him peaking. Jumping on heads and kicking team lifting goals.
I think it’s a fair tactic to try distract Geelong.
We can try be intimidating and put them off their game. They’ll be laughing so hard at us they might just lose focus.
So send our first year players out to try and physically intimidate an experienced top 4 team knowing full well they’d have limited support?
better to get on the front foot. They will be like the swans when papley was upset and not expecting it.
I know we have champ alert, but can we get a “line in the sand alert”
I think we’re up to our 500th line in the sand moment.
Spoiler alert: This ain’t it.
Medication time for you.
I reckon any Essendon supporter attending should wear a helmet to protect themselves from concussion
Front foot? So Sharp sidles up to Bliczavs at the first bounce and starts a bit of push and shove. I’m tipping front foot becomes back foot pretty quickly.
Our banner for the game should just be a massive concussion waiver that the players can run through
We will lose by 40 points but it will feel like 100 because Cats will never really get out of 1st gear
Looking at the ladder, the Cats know % will be important should Bris, Dees and Crows lose 1 game. Dees and Crows play Freo and Lions have the Hawks.
If those teams drop 1 game the Cats will finish 4th on %, they’ll be trying to belt us.
If Geelong win all three games by ~40 points (say 110 - 70 on average), they’ll end up with a %age of ~122. That’s going to be more than enough to lead the other contenders for that spot.
They’ve got a run home which means they can manage players a bit and still get a solid percentage boost.
With our medical history, at least one player will need a HIA after running through such a banner.
Fixed
Love me some slop.
Main interest will be which tally is higher, Geelong’s goals scored of Geelong’s free kicks for.
I’m going for goals to edge out frees 28-26
The AFL has just announced the Umpires will wear blue & white stripes to eliminate any confusion
.
Not only that, they will beat us in waivers signed too
