Who cares?
Agreed
and Frank Farianâs âgroupsâ had a pretty discernable impact on a couple of musical eras, ( if for possibly the wrong reasons in one case). I think he qualifies to make the cut.
YMMV.
Maybe we should call it ânotable deathsâ instead.
Ma, Ma, Ma, Maâ Ma. Ma BAAKkEERRRâŚ.
I donât think Arnold Frollows (former Dribble J music director, and chief architect of them programming all manner of shithouse novelty songs back in the day) will ever recover from this newsâŚ
Still difficult to comprehend how that drivel made the Hottest 100 one year. Actually, itâs not hard to comprehend at allâŚ
Actual celebrities that have kicked the bucket
Singer Melanie, whose songs include Brand New Key and Lay Down (Candles in the Rain), has died. She was 76.
Melanie was just 22 years old when she performed to hundreds of thousands of people at the Woodstock music festival in 1969.
Sad. I liked her.
She was at the Folk Festival a couple of years ago.
She was saying that some US censors banned Brand New Key because they it encouraged promiscuity.
I think she was there the year before I came for the first time. Iâll be there again this year. Theyâve exhumed Graham Nash this time.
Is that the one that goes âIâve got a brand new pair of roller skatesâ
Fark me, American conservatives will find âpromiscuityâ in very weird places.
Supposedly Poker Face samples that âMa ma ma maâ bit.
For the Star Trek fans on Bliz. Gary Graham, who played Ambassador Soval on Star Trek: Enterprise, has died suddenly at the age of 73.
Sad news to see this morning. May he live long and prosper in the new world.
My sister-in-law is going to be genuinely upset about Melanie.
Weird but genuine fandom. Albums and everything.
Iâve got the Brand New Key single, and I think thatâs enough.
She also thinks Wig Wam Bam is The Sweetâs best song, so what can you do?
For some, there is no hope.
It is a fun tune, but certainly not their best.
Itâs kinda sweet that she thinks that, though.
Adorably wrong.
Stuff them⌠thatâs Sikes from Alien Nation!
Raise a sour milk to his memory.
Sad.
