He was diagnosed with Lyme disease after initially thinking he had Alzheimers.

In my cricket days in Melbourne, I was doing the scoring with a bloke who’d had a heart transplant. They subsequently realised he’d had Lyme disease.

Boy, was he ticked off? One of the beachside clubs past Mordialloc.

Correct. I knew he had been misdiagnosed but I didn’t remember what he ended up with. Didn’t affect his show and he did a couple of tunes with his daughter.

Hmmm… I’ll give that a tick, I suppose…

Plenty of threads for song posting, best to keep this to what it is

So much respect

Maggie Smith ~ The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie and The Lady In The Van ~ two of my favourite films.

Respectfully disagree.

I saw Lady In The Van about a month ago. Can’t think of another actress who could carry off that role.

Isn’t it wonderful?

I’m an Alan Bennett fan, happy the film did his memoir justice.

Same with Jean Brodie, whenever I read it again I hear Maggie’s voice.

Try Keeping Mum, a little comedy with Rowan Atkinson where she plays a serial killer. Seen it many times, still gives me a chuckle.

I have seen it, l bought it on DVD years ago in China. Maggie steals many a scene, Rowan Atkinson is at his bumbling best as the vicar, even Patrick Swayze does a decent job, better than l expected, and Kristin Scott Thomas is always a treat to watch.

That sounds like something I’ll have to track down xx

I dont know if it has already been mentioned here but Barbara Leigh-Hunt passed away a few weeks ago.
She will be best remembered as playing Lady Catherine de Bourgh in the BBC series Pride and Prejudice.

She played the “snooty old bi*ch” rule to a T.
