I remember her best as Miranda the mermaid. Sexiest voice ever – well, until Helena Bonham-Carter came along.

That husky voice made her pretty memorable. My favourite of hers was Perfect Strangers (aka Vacation from Marriage), early WW2 in London with Robert Donat and Deborah Kerr as a married couple. He’s an office drip, always getting a cold, and she’s not much better. He joins the Navy and she involves herself in war work. Glynis Johns played DK’s friend.
Both became quite resilient and dreaded meeting up again, because their marriage was clearly over.
She seemed to be in mainly US TV and films after the war.

Don’t recognise him but circumstances (young family) are pretty cooked.
Loved that show Designated Survivor. He was great in it. Another one too young, poor bugger.
