Former Christian. I believe Christians should also be ridiculed and laughed at. What was that Noah’s Arc thing, one of the most ridiculous stories I have ever heard,
This is my abiding memory of that movie as well
Northern Exposure- now that was a quirky series. Loved it, but sometimes very weird.
always weird but great fun
If it was the American version, wash your mouth out with Velvet Soap.
The Edward Woodward version was great. Sick of remakes.
I was talking Edward Woodward, Ifirst I have heard of an American version, but I agree, the remakes are rubbish
Nicolas ■■■■■■■ Cage was in the 2006 remake the dead celebrity was in.
Thanks, based on your review I will avoid it.
It was. It seemed like fun at first, but gradually you realised that it wasn’t fun at all.
I met John Marsden when my son stated at his school Candlebark and got to know him over the 6 years of my son’s high school education, including the first 2 years of John’s second school ’ Alice Miller’. A great person, author and teacher.
Today marks 57 years since Prime Minister Harold Holt defected to Russia, China or Cuba.
Or a dingo with an aqualung !
Or ???
Come on, everybody knows that it was a dingo with an aqualung.

There was a rumour that it was a CIA shark.

Cartoonist Michael Leunig has died age 79. Put a few noses out of joint, especially in recent times. Did some great work.
The annual Leunig calendar has graced chez OBITV for many a long year. Vale Michael.
Definitely the end of an era.
Recall my own discovery of his at times quirky work in the Nation Review way back, as a young teenager.
RIP Michael Leunig.
Might go buy his calendar today at the newsagent.
I hate Fairfax but I think selling out his calendars this year would be a nice send off.
Plus he loves animals.
Great cartoonist Michael Leunig
RIP
Anyone old enough to remember this?
Must have been absolutely remarkable.
