Alan Minter, former English undisputed Middleweight Champion died during the week aged 69. Regrettably, he will best be remembered for his encounter with Marvellous Marvin Hagler in 1980 that resulted with Hagler winning the titles but having to leave the ring whilst being pelted with beer bottles and chairs by about 50,000 skinheads.

l knew Bongo many years ago, slightly, and also went to Swinburne when he was there, as was Greg McAinsh, who l saw around the place but never knew (l think he was a business student,) As Activities Officer on the Student Executive, l put Skyhooks on at one of our Union Nights, in the middle of their National Tour in 1974. They cost $1000, when other bands were charging $200. It was a great night.

Correct, l know a lot of people, from all over the place.
Sometimes l even surprise myself. Since l have come back to Oz, l have been making an effort to look up a lot of old contacts. It is good fun to reconnect.

A bit niche but those who know his work will be interested none the less. Japanese fetish artist, Namio Harukawa died recently aged 72. Famous for his depictions of females usually in positions of forced erotic asphyxiation on unfortunate (or not) humiliated men. This is the only tame example I could find but some of the imagery is amazing.
